I'm a FTB but partner has owned before - which type of mortgage?

Hi everyone! I've tried googling and live chat with a bank (couldn't get through on the phone...) and haven't been able to figure out something that I hope will be simple:

My partner bought a house with a previous girlfriend several years ago, and she bought him out when they broke up. I'm a first-time buyer. He and I are now looking to buy together and started an application for an agreement in principle (he had selected the "moving home" option as he isn't technically a first-time buyer, so didn't want to select that option) but it asked us for details of the property we're selling without the option to say there isn't one, so we couldn't proceed.

Has anyone been in the same boat, or is anyone please able to advise? Thanks very much in advance!

Both classed as FTB in this case. It bears no real meaning other than what mortgage products will be available.

It doesn't mean he'll be classed as a FTB with regards to stamp duty or incentives.
