Hi all
My mum died earlier this year and left her half of the house to be held in Trust for children and grandchildren. I did the probate, but the work now need at Land Registry and with the house deeds feels well over my head. So I am looking for a solicitor to do the work and I came across WLS Solicitors:
http://www.wlssolicitors.co.uk/home/
There's not a great deal of info out there, and the reviews I have found are mostly positive. But then I stumbled across this article:
https://www.legalfutures.co.uk/latest-news/paralegal-law-firm-launches-abs-targeting-high-street
and I'm not really sure what to take from it.
So I wondered whether anyone has used WLS, and also what the implications of that article are and whether it is good or bad?!
Many thanks

No experience, but personally I would use a local solicitor. This is a fairly simple task and should not involve a great deal of costs.0

WLS have quoted £250 + VAT + LR Fees. The only thing with local is my dad and I don't live in the same area...
Thanks for your help

Use a local firm and have them post documents out to the other, as required. It's normal for solicitors to do that as they know not everyone lives in the same area or even country.Mortgage started 2020, aiming to clear 31/12/2029.0

I used a firm local to me, but distant from my co-executor's home and the deceased's home which we were selling. Really easy to pop in when needed, and post off to others when required.Signature removed for peace of mind0

Thanks for the replies.
Interestingly, while WLS quoted £250+VAT, another solicitor (local to my dad) quoted £600+VAT. That's quite some difference!0
