Hi,
my parents have gifted me a sum of money to make the final payment of my IVA, after what feels like a very long time!
my parents have gifted me a sum of money to make the final payment of my IVA, after what feels like a very long time!
Having recently separated from my other half (child’s father) I have found myself with no where to live, and my family have offered to purchase a house in my name, which I would then repay each month, so that I have a stable home for my child and I.
I had a worry when I realised it could take 3-6 months to receive the Certificate of Completion/Closure of IVA and if this would impact the purchase of the house and closure of the IVA? I am so concerned and worried, I hoped someone could offer some advice or experience on this! My IVA company are notoriously lax in responding to queries and/or actually getting things sorted so I don’t feel confident in it being closed any time soon.
Thank you in advance.

If your that worried about it then wait for your kind family to buy you a property until you have completed your IVA, so the IP will have zero claim on it.
Rent somewhere for 6 months while they house shop for you.1
