Lloyds Bank Business account

Hi All,
I hope you are well.

I'm wondering if anyone can help here. I applied for a business bank account with Lloyds bank over a month ago and still to this day have had no update on my application. I try to login into the Lloyds Business account application tracker but with no success (when I click log in nothing happens), I have called numerous times and have just been told "we will contact the application team and they will get back to you", This has happened on a few occasion and still nothing to be heard weeks later. It is very frustrating as no one can seem to give me a proper answer. Some say that I might not be able to log into the tracker because I have been declined but then someone else says that" it could be a technical issue". The issue logging in arose only a few days after applying and been told I should have received a phone call, email or letter by now notifying me of the status of the application but I have received none of this. So it feels like I'm stuck in limbo.

Has anyone else had a similar issue or can anyone give me some advice on what to do next?

Thank you for any help.

Imagine the focus is currently on servicing existing business account customers.
    Is this a new business?

The business has been running since November 2018 and I have my current account with Halifax which is a partner bank with Lloyds that I am running the business through if that helps with getting an answer.

    Thank you for your reply.

Where have you been doing your business banking between November 2018 and now I guess they aren't closing your account until your transfer to your new business account.

I will say the setup process was easy for me years ago (I asked the halifax as my bank and they pointed to lloyds) spoke to lloyds and setup and account quickly enough (less than 24 hours), but of course corvid19 wasn't an issue then, its not a good time to be setting up accounts at the minute so you make be stuck with you current business account a little longer.

Yes I have applied through the Halifax
  • Lloyds is not opening business accounts at the moment. Halifax don't seem to know this.

  • ........ I should add that if you are applying for one of the government loans they will open a current account to receive the funds if you don't already have one.
