I've downloaded a copy of my  ex husbands property details & there are one or two things I'd like clarified if possible. He is listed as the sole owner of his freehold.  I haven't listed all the blurb, just those I feel are important

Under A: Property Register section it states
1)That freehold land edged in red was filed at the land registry & the date is 06/02/85
2) The conveyance dated 26/11/84

Under Proprietorship Register it sates
Title Absolute -
1) Ex's full name is here & the date is 30/3/93
2) Is blur about covenants in the charges register also date 30/03/93
3) Restriction: Except under an order of the Registrar, no disposition or dealing by the proprietor of the land othrther than a transfer to xxxxxxxxxxx and xxxxxxxxxxxxx
(these being ex's name & his 2nd wife) is to be registered without the consent of the said xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx (This being his wifes name).

What do the dates mean? I'm assuming the dates in the Property Register section relate to when he was first purchasing the house.
But what about the 1993 dates under Title Absolute?
I'm concerned that it means my ex's biological children have no claim on their father's estate. He had no children with wife no. 2, though she has 3 now grown children form 2 previous marriages.
The bigger the bargain, the better I feel.

I should mention that there's only one of me, don't confuse me with others of the same name.

    * Whether his biological children have a claim on their father's estate is nothing to do with the property title
    * if he has made bequests to them in his will, or left 'the remainder of his estate' to them after other bequests, then they will inherit. If his will does not mention them, they will not inherit.
    * if he did not write a will, then inheritance will follow the law of intestacy (see here).

I already know that the will is key. What I'm trying to find out is whether 100% of his house forms part of his estate or if the covenant on the property title means that his wife is now part owner & thus has the right to continue to live in the house or can decide to sell up whenever she may desire?

The dates in the Property Register (1984/5) is the date the property was first registered, by whoever owned it at that time.
The date in the Proprietorship Register is the date the current proprietor became the owner. Does 1993 sound like when ex purchased?

I thought it was a couple of years prior to 1993, but expect the date is correct for the purchase.
