Good morning.
I have trawled the internet but I can't find any info regarding the age qualification for a bus pass.
Both myself and wife live in Greater Manchester but all the info i have seen is regarding disabled/ consessionary passes and nothing about the age of qualification?
My wife will be 66 in November and I will be 65 in December. I have asked a few people but I get mixed messages.
Thanks in advance

Ring your local council about concessionary passes and they should tell you.1

To get a travel pass for older people from TfGM you must:
- live in Greater Manchester, (if you live outside Greater Manchester apply for a pass in your own area but passes issued by other areas are not valid on rail and Metrolink in Greater Manchester); and
- qualify for a state pension. It doesn't matter if you are taking the pension or not, or whether you work or not.
The age you qualify for a state pension isn't the same for everyone. You may need to be up to 66 to qualify depending on when you were born. If you're not sure, check your state pension age.

Normally for most areas in England you do not qualify for a bus pass until you reach State Pension Age."All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of thing shall be well."0
