Bursary for teacher training SKE pulled by DofE

I am in a Facebook group for aspiring teachers and a lot of people are saying mid way through their Subject Knowledge Enhancement courses for teacher training the bursaries have been pulled. Anyone know what is happening with this?

Apparently DfE have withdrawn funding from 3 August but nobody knows why or what will happen.
A Google search gives the above information but nothing else.0
