Wirex account setup - credit search?

Hi, I’m looking at setting up a wirex account for minuscule investments in cryptocurrency as an attempt to further familiarise myself with it... however I am wondering if setting up the account is likely to involve a hard credit search as we are in the process of moving house and so mortgage application has been approved (but a further check before completion could well happen). 

Any advice Is appreciated

Don’t apply for any lines of credit (especially dodgy crypto currencies) until your mortgage completes.

Thought that would be the answer, it was more something to pass the time, as virtually I've been doing pretty well in the demo risk free area. Was wondering as there is obviously no credit attached, instead it's adding funds from a different bank account. The only real reason for a search would be to check identity to help prevent fraud/money laundering

It's not a line of credit as far as I can see, it's no different than a prepaid debit card.

They might do an ID and AML search but that won't matter for a mortgage application.

I wouldn't bother with it, personally, especially since crypto trading is a good way to flush money down the toilet.  But I wouldn't not apply because it's credit, it isn't.

Avoid crypto at the moment, until it's regulated to some extent. Don't think it's a coincidence that you've been doing well in the demo risk free area; that's how they suck you in.
