Still waiting for refund from March.. Help!

What was the scheduled start date of your holiday? The chargeback clock starts from then, not from the date you booked it. If you are still within the 120 days, a chargeback is a much better option than an S75, as it gets your card provider onside, rather than picking up the entire bill.
I don'y understand why you have waited so long. ABTA was a complete dead end, as it does not cover this scenario.Your insurer will expect you to mitigate your losses by claiming a chargeback or an S75 before they will pay out.No free lunch, and no free laptop

Hi Macman
Thank you for your time in responding.
Our schedule date of our holiday was 19th March 2020, so I think we are long passed the 120 days to do a charge back, so i'm going to try call my travel insurance first and foremost to see what they say and will update on here. ABTA are definitely a dead end but credit card provider said we have to have a letter/email from ABTA stating that they refuse to help then they will "step in" BUT it clearly states on ABTA website they are only responsible for failed Travel companies, of which our hasn't failed....Round in circles I keep going.0 -
Yes, you are out of time now for a chargeback, so it's S75 only.
I very much doubt if your insurer knows the difference between ABTA and ATOL, but the same principle applies: you have to mitigate your losses. So do an S75 without further delay. No free lunch, and no free laptop
