With regard to VT - just to check, have you included the Balloon Payment due at the end of the agreement in assessing whether or not the 50% (of the Total Amount Payable which includes the balloon) point has been reached?

Yeah I have confirmed both the monies paid and monies outstanding!!

Many larger companies have a bereavement team, always ask to speak to them.

Most finance companies have bereavement teams who have far greater knowledge of these situations than the normal customer facing staff do. If you have not already done so try that route.
