How long should I wait to discard Covid-19?
Yesterday I had a very active day in the heat and sun. At the end of the day I felt a bit sick. Mainly body pain. When I get home my temperature was 38,2. I self isolate in my room. I measured the temperature every 20min and was about the same. I had little appetite but eat some chicken that my wife prepare. Around 10pm I took 2 paracetamol. And sleep like a baby until 4am. I measured my temperature and It was OK and I feel a lot better. I was hungry so I ate something and went back to bed. I sleep a few more hours and had breakfast. Now is 10:30am I still feel OK and temperature is fine. How long should I wait to discard Covid-19? Is normal with covid to have a bit of fever for a few hours and them other symptoms shows later on?

Thankfully, we have a wonderful free to use healthcare service where you can get proper medical advice from trained professionals. I would advise you to call 111 rather than asking random strangers online.
Don't get me wrong, you get some fantastic advice on these boards. But there are just certain things you should never take advice for online - health is one of them imo. At least when the consequences are potentially life ending for someone. You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means - Inigo Montoya, The Princess Bride8 -
Thanks for you reply, I just wanted to know if there is any scientific evidence to have fever for a few hours with some body pain and all symptoms disappear and there is a chance this is covid-19, I can’t find any info related to this specific . Maybe somebody have this info or have some personal experience.unholyangel said:Thankfully, we have a wonderful free to use healthcare service where you can get proper medical advice from trained professionals. BTW: Have you call yourself 111 regarding Covid-19? Do you seriously think a fully train professional will take care of your call and listening to your personal query and will make and advice personally tailored for you? I honestly don't think so. My guess is with the amount of call these days the NHS is receiving chances are an operator will simply read a text that was told to repeat and ask me to self isolate.

Why not consult a doctor? Or call 119 or even use the online symptom checker. Would you really take medical advice from randoms?0

No need to call 111 as you aren't in need of treatment.
But you've had one of the symptoms, so book a test and go and get it done today. Self isolate till the results are back. Why take a chance?

Dear OP
Sorry that I just saw you post as my concise advice would have been, take a test, then worry about Covid etc - mean time steer clear of everyone outside your home and away from those inside as much as poss
I hope you don't have covid but if you do, a speedy recovery to you and I hope you wear your mask as per SD rules and other good practices.

From what you've described (being active and out in the sun) it sounds a lot like heat exhaustion, but getting a test done and self-isolating (as much as possible anyway) until you get your results back is a good idea.1
