Help! DEFENCE due

I got a claim form through on the 9th July 2020 (Issued 8th July 2020) for a PCN issued on 07/09/2018. I completed the AoS on the 5th day after the issue date to give me an extended time to organise my defence. Unfortunately due to work I've had little to no time to write and send it. If my math is correct it's due tomorrow.
Background: I was unaware of any PCN and at the time was living in a HMO (about 6 people and letters typically go missing). I never received the NTK and last year moved address. I know this isn't something I can really defend because they sent it to my registered address and although I updated my driving license, I didn't update my V5C with the DVLA until I got this claim through.

I can remember the day they refer to as I only parked there maybe once or twice. The signage was terrible and I had no idea it was a P&D at the time. The only signage between the entrance and the Argos I visited was at the entrance and that can easily be obscured by a car leaving at the time I entered. Google maps shows the lack of signage in 2018 when the claimant (Bank Park Management) had just taken over the lot. They must have know it was bad because they put fresh new bright signage everywhere (i mean everywhere) in 2019.

DCB Legal LTD are the solicitor firm they are using. Has anyone come across them? I'm wondering what to put in my defence at #17 & #18 as all I can think of is signage...

Thank you so much in advance if anyone can help in the short time remaining!!

I think your calculations are incorrect and you have until Wednesday 12th to submit defence.  @KeithP will be along to confirm that for you.

We know all about DCBL and just like every other DCBL case they have added a fake amount.
Please let us see the letter so we can see what rubbish they spout.

Signs are vital, you must get pictures. Current signs if changed after the ticket are not applicable. Google street view may help you

It's due 33 days after the issue date, (of 8th July); which makes it by 4.00pm on 10th August, (i.e tomorrow).
  • I've attached the 2018 signage (best image I can find sorry!) and some 2020 signs that I took after receiving the claim form. I've also attached (removed personal details) the NTK which I got via a SAR and the claim form itself. Hope that's useful.

    Miscounted, you are right.
..... and that's why I normally leave calculating to others - usually @KeithP

    Yes, as others have said...

With a Claim Issue Date of 8th July, and having filed an Acknowledgment of Service in a timely manner, you have until 4pm on Monday 10th August 2020 to file your Defence.
    That's tomorrow.
To create a Defence, and then file a Defence by email, look at the second post in the NEWBIES thread.
Don't miss the deadline for filing a Defence.

Nine times out of ten these tickets are scams, so consider complaining to your MP., it can cause the scammer extra costs, and in some cases, cancellation.

Parliament is well aware of the MO of these private parking companies, many of whom are former clampers, and on 15th March 2019 a Bill was enacted to curb the excesses of these shysters. Codes of Practice are being drawn up, an independent appeals service will be set up later this year,

Just as the clampers were finally closed down, so hopefully will many of these companies, persistent offenders denied access to the DVLA database and unable to operate.

Hopefully life will become impossible for the worst of these scammers, but until this is done you should still complain to your MP, citing the new legislation.
