Easyjet vouchers

Easy jet cancelled my flight just 2 weeks before my holidays.
Now they sent me a voucher which is valid only for 12 months from the cancellation date and can be used only for the flight. If I'm not able to use this voucher I'm going to loose £400...
I've applied for refund to the original source,but they gave me a voucher which I think it's very unfair. I'm not planning holidays for next 12 months. What I suppose to do? Is there any chance for getting my money back?

I'm confused , did you book via an agent or direct with easyJet

how did you apply for the refund? If online, could you have mistakenly have requested a voucher in error? (many reports of people requesting refunds online have successfully received refunds and not vouchers)

Probably not if you requested a voucher.
Initially with Easyjet it was vouchers or changes via the website and you had to phone for a refund (it took me till 3 weeks after the flight departure to get through!) 
Later they added an online refund form - https://www.easyjet.com/en/refund-form was this the form you completed?
