Budgeting app with forecasting

I have been using anmoney for years, but it hasn't been supported for a while and I am looking again for a replacement. I have tried the likes of money dashboard, but this doesn't let you organise your money in offline account as a saving tool. I want to be able to put money into different online accounts to save for a variety of different bills, similar to an envelope system. I then want to be able forecast the balance of my account over the year so I can adjust how much I can save. This is by far the best way to budget for future expenditure but I haven't found an app that does this as well as anmoney. I am looking into moneywiz, does anyone have any experience with this app?

Its actually not that good way to budget which is planning spending not planning saving pots.
If that is the way you want to do it why does it need multiple pots if you have a budget with cash flow of future spending you can make sure you have enough set aside at any time in the future in one pot.
Not an app MSMoney does what you want.

Most of these apps work on a monthly budget. If I am saving for a yearly expenditure, say car insurance, I need to put some aside each month. Setting this in a budget on one account doesn't help, because at the end of the month the money just stays in the account and it looks like I have more to spend in the next month. Moving it to a virtual account keeps it away from my current account spending. I then can use a forecast tool to ensure my account will have the correct amount in at the point I need to spend. I can also use the forecast tool to check my current account balance over the coming year to ensure I won't go into the red with the amounts I am transferring to each saving pot. I used MSMoney for many years until it became unsupported and then switched to anMoney. This method has enabled me to always stay ahead of my bills for years, avoiding the need for loans. I plan monthly spending as well, but without the saving pots (virtual accounts) this just doesn't work.0

Clear checkbook does an envelope system which works the same way as savings pots. You can see how much is left at any time but the money is in one account but split into envelopes plus normal day to day spending. Not sure about forecasting the balance of it over the year but for mine I just work out the yearly expenses in each envelope and divide it by 12. So gifts, xmas, car repairs, house maintenance and holidays.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Debt free Wannabe, Budgeting and Banking and Savings and Investment boards.
