Barclaycard and DMP

July 2019 I entered a DMP with Stepchange. Barclaycard are one of the people I owe money to. They revoked my online banking, don't send me statements, if I call their automated banking it says my balance is £0, I tried to check the balance at a cash machine and it took the card. I am past the point of despair with them! I am now in a position to clear all outstanding balances and you'd think they'd want to take my money.... No! I simply want to know my balance and pay it, but they have put up every roadblock possible. Today when trying for 1000th time to call, the advisor couldn't find my account. They've still got it under a previous address, despite the fact I've had correspondence to my new address several times, so I'm now worrying what the heck could possibly have been sent to the wrong address by their error. The final option I can think of is to go into branch and settle it that way, which proves difficult when most are shut on the weekend and I work M-F 9/5. Have others have such great difficulty?

Barclaycard may well have sold the debt on. Once you entered into the DMP.

I would check your credit file & see where the debt is. Most likely it’s defaulted & been sold on.

If this was on the plan with Step Change they must know the balance & such.

Yes as above contact whoever runs/ran your DMP.
Not sure they would accept a sum to just one creditor if you owe to several though.

Thank you everyone. I'm going to call Stepchange on Monday and see how best to pay everyone. The sum I have will clear all my creditors.

OP
You should have option of logging into your dmp via step change website.
Thought your various agreements may not specify Barclays, maybe you can get an idea anyway.
