Passenger insurance

So many adverts for new cars and some insurance companies show cars full of friends but when you come to make sure all your passengers are insured, that's an extra that often does not seem to be easily covered. Sure, spouse and immediate family seem safe but friends are a different matter. I would like to see every passenger secure in their seat in your car, covered by insurance.

Fire. There is probably a clause in standard insurance that says if your car is damaged by the spontaneous combustion of a passenger, there is no cover.I want to go back to The Olden Days, when every single thing that I can think of was better.....
(except air quality and Medical Science)

If you drive carelessly and injure your passanger, your liability for their injuries will be covered by your insurance, same as your liability to any other third party.
There aren' many ways in which your passanger can cause an accident, but liability arising from most of them (eg opening the car door into the path of an oncoming vehicle) will also be covered by your policy.
What other insurance do you think your passangers need?0 -

Show us ONE insurer that treats "friends" different to "spouse and immediate family", when it comes for payouts to passengers after an incident...1 -

Curiously, Section 145 (4) (a) of the Road Traffic Act 1988 does not require an insurer to cover employees of the person who is driving. I assume that's because employers are required to take out insurance for their employees under other legislation.
If it sticks, force it.
If it breaks, well it wasn't working right anyway.0 -
Maybe the OP want insurance against losing friends because of bad scary driving.0

I'm not expecting the op to return.0
