Have Whatsapped Virgin, though they are prioritising people due to travel in next 21 days, which i am outside of at present.
Send your same message again after receiving their automated response, then wait a few days and they should then be in touch.

I’m not quite sure why some seem to think that S75 is a massive free ‘I have chanced my mind’ or ‘Who can I blame’ free insurance policy.
Section 75 covers "consequential losses", as well as the cost of what you bought. This covers any costs caused by the problem with your purchase. For example, if you bought tickets for an event that got cancelled, you may be able to claim back your travel and hotel costs from your credit card company.

I bought the flights ( cancelled, and have commenced refund process with American Airlines ) AND the hotel ( via Virgin ) with the same Virgin Atlantic C/C .  So is it possible ( as per philw post ) that i can Section 75 for Hotel losses ( assuming Virgin dont refund ) as a consequence of cancelled flights ?

Happy days - had email from Virgin confirming they have cancelled my " holiday "..
Went into " Manage my booking " completed refund form, so now in the queue for cash back -  they are quoting an 80 day wait for refunds requested in August.
