What to do with a share certificate

Just been made redundant and have now received the share certificate for the shares i paid for in the associated Computershare account.
They are tax free but there was no option to transfer them to a dealing account, only to have them as a paper certificate.
I now want to hold these shares in a electronic/online form so i can trade/sell/buy at my leisure, already hold share dealing accounts with IG and HL so
is there an easy way to transfer these to one of those accounts?
Have to say that computershare have been no help at all.

Yes there is - though a quick google brings back that IG seem to charge £100 whilst HL has suspended any transferring because of Coronavirus.Personally I've used https://www.x-o.co.uk and https://www.iweb-sharedealing.co.uk in the past to do this and it was very easy (and cheap) to do on those platforms (and they still seem to be accepting transfers) - open an account first, then print out and fill in the transfer form and then send it and the certificates on.You've not said which company you have shares in so you would need to check that they will be accepted before you do anything. i.e. A FTSE 100 company would be absolutely fine, a foreign company shares might be more difficult to add.0
