Can I make an offer without my solicitor?

I do have a solicitor but they are closed at the weekend and we have found a property we love. I'm itching to make an offer but can't because of the above. There is a mobile number given on answering machine if I do need to discuss anything outwith office hours but I am imagining they still would be unable to do paperwork anyway to put in offer. Can I put in an offer now and this can formally given on Monday or should I just wait till Monday?

In Scotland your offer comes from your solicitor.1

I made my offer, with my terms and caveat that whatever the standard Scottish ones were would also be included, to the EA on the Saturday, said if it was accepted I would be emailing my solicitor to make the formal offer and emailing my broker to submit my mortgage application, both ready for when they were in work on Monday.
A couple of calls later, price agreed and I sent an updated email to my solicitor and broker. The formal offer, with my terms and standard Scottish ones, was sent on the Monday.
Mortgage started 2020, aiming to clear 31/12/2029.0 -

Nothing stopping you from discussing a price etc with the agent if you want to in the meantime, but what's the rush to submit an offer? It's not as if anybody else's solicitor is going to do so before Monday. Also, this isn't anything to do with mortgages - you're probably better on the house buying/selling board.

@Buttons4491 we made a verbal offer to estate agents who came back after speaking to vendor to accept and just asked that we sent over written offer from solicitor once open again. We are also in Scotland.0

Made one a month ago - it was a completed new build property.
I actually made an offer before I had a solicitor. Felt it gave me some advantage for negotiation as I can control when and how to respond. They were playing games with rejecting first offer without counter-offer etc. I also had some provisions like they have to leave the burglar installed alarm as is and removing wallpapers etc.
Once the offer is accepted I passed the detail to my solicitor to deal with. Regardless of the email exchanges the solicitor will need to get it formally in the draft contract which takes time (like weeks of bouncing back and forth).0 -
