Your right of course however to get rid of them altogether (although even this would be temporary,as they are unfortunately a fact of life and cannot be gotten rid of completely)I would have to completely do the pillows ,duvet,mattress,bed-base,curtains and carpets all at once:D
since I can't realistically do that ,this is a better option .bearing in mind I also use pillow and mattress covers which are changed every other day................but I cannot wash all pillows at once or I would be buried in them;)0 -

I'll see if I can track down that reference...
interesting fact
. Ten percent of the weight of a two year old pillow may be composed of dead mites and their droppings.

OMG:eek:, our bedding must be alive with mites. I change the bedding once a week IF I'm on top of things, once a fortnight if things are sliding. The mattress and pillow covers get changed ...no, I can't put it in writing!:o:o0 -

we each shed 5 to 10 grams of dead skin each week and as we spend 1/3 of our time in our beds....................I'm not stopping in your house:rotfl:

I literally have to prise my son's duvet from to wash!!!!
He drags it everywhere with him and is constantly curled up in it, watching tv, eating dinner, playing on the PC etc :rotfl:
He even moaned when I washed it recently cos it didn't smell right anymore "An Ye Harm None, Do What Ye Will"

If you have eider, goose or duck down duvets, you can have them recovered and the fillings topped up at a reasonable cost. I have one single duvet that is years old that I did this to and it made it like new.0

I used to launder duvets and pillows but since moving (for part of the year) to an area of the country that is stuffed with guest houses and holiday lets I've found that I can buy 4 pillows or a duvet for £5. At that price it aint worth washing them.Life's a beach! Take your shoes off and feel the sand between your toes.0
