Recent late payment whilst in the process of buying first home

Hi,
I recently checked my credit report to find that I've been issued a late payment on one of my credit accounts. It's a stupid amount of £4 for a postage charge on something I returned to Very. I immediately paid it once I realised but unfortunately, 30 days had passed so that's why I assume it has been reported on my credit file. My biggest concern is that I'm so close to exchanging contracts on my first home and terrified that this may risk me being declined by my mortgage lender if they were to do a final credit check. Has anyone else been in a similar position? How serious are the consequences for a recent late payment of £4?  Any insight would be greatly appreciated.

Rosie.

If its your first late payment it will be fine due to the amount. the next month in the credit file will showed it was paid. when are you due to complete on the house.
  • Thanks. I'm due to complete end of September, fingers crossed!
