Oh what a beautiful morning
(sing along all)
Spa is well and truly open so cocktails by the pool anyone? Rubes your towel and unicorn lilo is reservedTA we are an exception to lockdown rules so your bed is reserved too
Terrorist came yesterday and did some more band exercises we did our illicit transaction and i now have my own. Also did some tri and biceps exercises with him so hoping to lose any sign of bingo wings
No plans today apart from a new person volunteer call who has said 6.30 is the best time mmm would prefer earlier but I'll see how we go. Dinner will probably be a throw together salad. Have a great day all x13 -
Morning campers, the sun is doing it's best to shine after the all day rain we had yesterday. My flour finally arrived at 7.30pm and came by courier. Poor Helen, she was struggling to pick it up, let alone carry it up my steps. She's been our delivery person for various online shopping for many years, so I wish she'd called on us to help. I'll help to carry it upstairs and then the task today will be to find somewhere out of the way to put it. I didn't realise just how heavy it would beI have stripped the bed and the bedding is in the wm, hopefully it will dry quickly. I will clean and hoover the bedroom in a minute before it gets too hot, then remake the bed. If I'm able to cope in the heat, there is a kitchen cupboard that has has a messy elf visit too, so that needs a tidy and I will give it the once over. Tea tonight will be a pasta bake using up some of the spag bol sauce.TA you are not alone in your rant. Seems to me that some of the younger ones don't care about anything or anyone, only themselves. Have a great big hug while I get down off my soapboxMonna I can relate to not knowing what day it is, let alone the time
Add to that my phone is rarely charged up and even more so since we've been in lockdown !
RedRuby can I order a hot dog please ?Nelski get them cocktails lined up BFF !!Take care all, keep safe and well ( and sane !! )nan xxFailure is simply the opportunity to begin again, but this time more intelligently14 -
Morning all! I pulled up all the potatoes yesterday to make room for the earth the OH is going to dig out [well...some room anyway] and discovered that my original seed potatoes were completely intact. That has never happened to me before, they've always been smushy shrivelled wrecks of their former selves, so I'm going to try to keep them until next year by putting them in the fridge for the summer and in the lean to over winter. And as I can attest, they taste bloody lovely so it's worth a go [ International Kidney, known as Jersey Royals when grown on Jersey, the soil there and the feeding contributes to the taste, but I still think mine tatsed pretty good for not having seaweed..]....Had my grilled shoulder steaks with thyme sprinkled on top , runner beans and potatoes. Nom. I cut the grass last night too, a newly mowed lawn looks so neat and all the clippings are in the green bin, the compost bin being full to bursting with potato haulms.Today, I am going to assess the state of the kitchen, supplies and depending on how hot it is later, may go pick some blackberries. And do my italian lesson. But first, it's breakfast time. God knows what I'm having, I'm out of eggs...I might just skip straight to lunch and have a salad.Nanny, how big's your bag of flour?! Gers, the cakes sound lovely. They have little shops in Italy that make one/two bite cakes and the artistry that goes into making them is incredible...get well soon snoozer! Onwards etc, hey all reading along, foraging Friday!Non me fac calcitrare tuum culi12

My friend in Oz rang the other day and told me meditation has helped her through the uncertain times we are in. It's 21 Days of Abundance that she has been doing and it's on YouTube. Willing to give anything a go to ease the stress of life as it is just now I have just listened to Day 1, full of good intentions to listen to Day 2 tomorrow! I tend to lose concentration when listening to such things but will persevere!
As you will gather I am time wasting, waiting for the sun to come out. It's due to re-emerge at 11.00 so we shall see! There are snippets of blue sky appearing so it's looking promising. It's good to hear the Spa is exempt from lockdown and distancing rules NELS so I'll be there. Reserve me a lounger in the sun please!
Take care all x"If you dream alone it will remain just a dream. But if we all dream together it will become reality"10 -
Morning all just!
Phew that’s hot already this morning, yesterday was also very stifling - the met office weather app was showing as 87% humidity for our part of the country making it hard to catch a breath!
A trip out yesterday to
Bee and M to stock up on fat balls for the birds (dad also wanted 100!) and a few cleaning bits (loving all the different fragrances of disinfectant that you can get now 😬) also treated myself to a new mop which rather sadly I am looking forward to using today 😭
and then a trip to Aldees for more drinks. Dropped the fat balls off at dads then popped into the lidly that is close by as mum said that they have some nice plants in. Picked up a couple of house plants and some more lavender.
Hopefully won’t have to leave the house now for a few days!
Steak and chips for dinner tonight, will do a stuffed Stilton mushroom and some roasted vine tomatoes with it 😋
Hope that everyone has an enjoyable day whatever they are up to.
