    Good Evening Everyone!

I hope that all are keeping well!

I haven’t updated quite as promptly as before but I thought I would log on to share some good news.

As of 2 days ago, my Barclaycard is PAID!

I bit the bullet and cleared my credit card debt, which is such a relief. It took a hit to this pay packet, but I am in awe that next month I won’t have a huge credit card bill. I never thought I would see the day.

And I must say I think this blog has helped no end, it has kept me accountable all this time and from August 2020 to now I have started a house deposit which I never thought I would have and paid off what became over £10,000 in credit card debt.

Now just to tackle the car!

I even managed to put enough money away for all my vehicle expenditure this month and took the advice of a previous forumite, where I have set up a standing order to a little savings account which means next year I’ll have the money for that ready to go.

So, as of March 2022, my total debt is:

    Car Finance - £10,164.05

Now it is time to tackle the car! But I am certainly letting myself have this month before I start on this behemoth. I need to save £5,000 for my balloon payment first as each overpayment I make brings that date closer. Once I have that saved, I will start overpaying until it is due.

Thanks those who have offered advice and support so far. I know I am not at the end but this feels like I’m starting to go down the other side of the hill and it has just spurred me on!

    Thank you so much!

Slowly but surely wins the race, at least it is going in the right direction and now it is more disposable for the car! :)

    Thank you :D
