You should check the list of exempt countries before you travel. If you travel from an exempt country but have been in a country that is not exempt within the last 14 days, you will need to self-isolate for the remainder of the 14 days since you were last in a non-exempt country.

You could stay in France for 14 days if you wanted, then return to the UK. Always assuming that France doesn't get taken off the list in that time.Morgstar said:I am currently in tenerife on holiday and as it stands need to quarentine when I return. Morgstar.......the idea is to obey the rules because of the danger you pose when coming back from holiday. The idea is to act with integrity and help the general situation and not try and use small print to try and evade basic responsibilities. Don't you think so?10

Well said Birseh and IF you are going to try to flaunt the rules, why advertise it!!!! Seriously though, I think your passport probably gives more away than you realise.2

Why not just follow the rules like everyone else?
You're not special, we're all in this together and you knew what you'd have to do when you left.2 -

Only if french rules say so, given that french rates of the virus are almost as high as spanish, that is less likely.
You wouldn't have to isolate in France because of english rules.
