I think you need courier cover.
But you shouldn't be asking me or any other random forum user - consult a proper insurance broker.
The consequences of getting it wrong are serious, and the police seem to be pretty hot on this.

    Unlikely to be cheap.

I can't imagine why you'd need business as well as goods in transit. Have you asked whoever is paying you to deliver the goods?

I have and was told just goods in transit but I thought that was only to insure the items in the car. When I applied for goods in transit I was told I had to get business car insurence but when I applied for that it tells me at the end that it won't cover me

Goods in Transit insurance is completely separate from motoring insurance.  It insures the goods not the vehicle.  Nobody will contract you to multidrop without it.

You need specific use business cover as courier.  As others have said, it won't be cheap.
