I also won’t have a tax problem, I’m not restricted as to which energy company I can use and I can sell my investment at any time.
I think too many people are investing in Ripple without really understanding the risks and long term implications.
The risk of what exactly? Compared to buying,"convention shares"?

The point is to build new renewables rather than just shares in a existing unit .I think most people who invest are doing so know the risk but I for one like the idea of Ripple and as stated has paid back just under a third of my outlay in under a year2

I invested what I would be happy to lose if it all went pear-shaped. I knew that it might be risky, but, for me, it was also eco considerations. I don't care if I lose the money I invested - even if I don't lose the money, I won't, probably, see a positive return. But I can leave my interest in it to my children. So - what is not to like?
(To be open - my income is in the 40% tax bracket with IHT a probability so - who cares if I lose the profits from a £700 investment - however I have expressed a £25 interest in the next project.)4 -

and I'd be annoyed if I lost everything but it's only equivalent to one budget family holiday. It's a risk I'm willing to take.

I have invested 50% in Project 3, I also have shares in Foresight solar and Greencoat wind which ATM are at -24% and -14 %. I cannot see the wholesale price of electricity dropping much in the future.

For me I like the diversification not just into different companies but into the very different model that Ripple offers. And before anybody reminds me, I didn't always think this way about Ripple but have changed my view over time.
