With Graig Fatha having completed a fourth month of energy generation and with me recently submitting energy stats for the month of June onto the "talking about my generation" thread I thought it wouldn't go amiss to post some figures here as well, based upon our experience to date. Nice to have some real figures to work with as opposed to just forward looking projections!Firstly to put matters into perspective I should state we secured as large a PV array as our property would hold on it's almost south facing roof, 8.85 kWp, together with a sizeable battery storage facility to compliment it of 24 kWh's capacity, which coincidentally was installed just prior to GF becoming live. Also, we were fortunate in securing a very good electricity rate from Octopus fixed until February '23.On the other hand we are all electric with no GCH or WBS to offset or mask our energy consumption/bills.I've been posting both PV and Wind generation figures daily so it will come as no surprise to anyone who does similar to learn that wind generation to date has more often than not been less than 1 O, or less than the daily annual average we subscribed for. Seemingly normal for the quieter summer months based upon historical data.To date four months income from Graig Fatha amounted to £98.91. The same four months electricity bills totalled £82.07.While it may still show a marginal surplus into October, I'm under no illusion that come the darker, colder months when consumption climbs alarmingly that any surplus will soon evapourate. But it will sure be interesting to learn how the Turbine performed in it's first year when compared to the potentials projected. For those with an interest in Kirk Hill then windspeeds are generally higher than those of Graig Fatha, hence the slightly higher anticipated output per Watt owned. It may be obvious but my thinking was just maybe the wind blew more often up there. But perhaps it just amounts to the same thing!East coast, lat 51.97. 8.26kw SSE, 23° pitch + 0.59kw WSW vertical. I was thinking of this earlier ...Swan_Valley said:Rate now confirmed by Ripple for the 1st year of generation:"Even bigger bill savings: 9.5p/kWh in the first yearWe're sure you are all aware that the wholesale cost of electricity has gone up substantially in recent months. We are very pleased to let you know that we have secured a price for the first year of generation that reflects that trend. We had communicated to you in September last year that your savings were projected to be around 8p for every kWh generated by your share of the wind farm. We can now confirm you will now receive about 9.5p saving on your bill per kW/h. This means that a member whose share of the wind farm generates 2,900kWh will get a saving of about £275 on their bill in the first year. That is more than triple the expected first year saving when we first launched the coop share offer! Speaking with Sarah Merrick at the Graig Fatha open day she indicated that should current elctricity prices continue to rise then next years returns are likely to be higher still. With the caveat that should they fall then this of course would not be the case.

Is that a reservation? I don't think any details about project 3 have been released yet. But there havebeen suggestions that it might be a solar farm.4.3kW PV, 3.6kW inverter. Octopus Agile import, gas Tracker. Zoe. Ripple x 3. Cheshire1

Just noticed on the ripple website they are about to do a seedrs crown fundraiser. Is this the same as investing in Graig Fartha for example?0

But then the link to the Seedrs investment page states: 'I understand the Seedrs crowdfunding campaign is for shares in Ripple the clean energy ownership platform NOT a wind farm or solar park.'Install 28th Nov 15, 3.3kW, (11x300LG), SolarEdge, SW. W Yorks.
