Tempted to invest on the next round. Does anyone know when government will give indication of expected future prices?0

All you can be reasonably certain of is that the figure quoted in the offer will give a modest return and pay back in about 13 years. If energy prices are higher, then rebate will be higher and you'll have your stake back sooner.FWIW (not much as it's my opinion) I think prices will stay high, in the medium term, whilst we try to become more independent from gas prices and move to more electrification of transport and heating. Once we have enough renewables installed then prices may ease. But then there are always "events, dear boy, events", so it's anyone's guess. It is probably better to have more incentive than just finacial. Mine is to have, hopefully, entirely green electricty, to run my home and car, between solar PV, Ripple and using batteries and TOU tariffs. If it reduces my monthy bill to a trivial amount, that will make my pension go further. I'm spending capital now, to live cheaply in future.5

Exactly my plans. invest now, to reduce my monthly outgoings in the future(i.e. retirement in 10-15 years time). My mortgage will be paid off before i retire, and I plan to get solar next summer, to further reduce my outgoings.Verdigris said:barker77 said:Tempted to invest on the next round. I was fortunate enough to fix my electric and gas, for two years last September, so am sheltered at the moment, but when it runs out, ideally I want to be semi self reliant, which is where the combination of solar/battery and ripple come into the equation.
Fingers crossed, it all works out that way

It's still possible to invest in this round until the end of the month.

Midnight on 28th March is the current closing date but Ripple have said they can extend it for a short while if required. Whatever that means.0

Apparently there's an agreement with the co-investors to pick up any shares not sold when the share offer closes. Hopefully there will be a bit more public interest before the end of the month.0

Co-investor could end up with a controlling interest in the SPV.Petriix said:Apparently there's an agreement with the co-investors to pick up any shares not sold when the share offer closes. Hopefully there will be a bit more public interest before the end of the month.0 -

Not necessarily but could mean that the co-op has no influence on Ripple's ongoing fees or even replacing them if that's what they wanted.1
