Travel Refund in installments

Hi All

Just a quick question - our travel company have (finally) contacted us saying that they have the refund for our hotel, following our cancelled holiday to the States at Easter due to Covid, but are still waiting for the refund from the airline.  We've been patient, as we realise that times have been tricky for them (less sympathetic with the airline, but that's the joy of the package deal).

So - the question is, if we accept the partial refund, what are our rights for chasing up the other £2K for the flights if they don't materialise at the end of the month.  Is it best to wait for the lump sum, or go for the refund in installments?

In theory your contact is with the company you booked with so they should refund you.  When they get the money from their suppliers is not your concern. 

That said, it's a question of cashflow. Most agents likely do not have the funds to refund people until the airlines cough up. 

By accepting a partial refund does not affect your rights to the full refund.
