Checkmyfile

Hi, has anybody used checkmyfile.com?
I just wanted to know if their monitoring service was any good and worth the £15 pm.
Thanks

  • I wouldn't pay for something that you can basically get for free from other sources (MSE Credit Club for Experian, Clearscore for Equifax, and Credit Karma for Transunion.)  You can even get statutory reports for free direct from each of the CRAs once a month although it's a bit more legwork.

You're basically paying £15 a month for some fancy graphs that probably aren't all that helpful anyway.

There are many free services out there to check your credit file, i wouldn't pay £15 a month when you can use free ones like MSE credit club, CreditKarma, Totallymoney, ClearScore etc.

Have you tried their free trial? I did, and didn't see anything that wasn't available on the free ones. Not anything worth £15/month anyway!

I use clearscore for free, and get equifax free also, and I would say that clearscore is just as good as anything that have had to pay for in the past.

I use check my file, and happy to pay costs.
They do answer very quickly if I raised any concerns -my de listing from Voters Roll- 2018 approx.
Didn't 'Fix' it as such, though pointed me in Direction of Experian who held my Address Format wrong.
"not sure of Monitoring' service -can't remember a time when Checkmyfille have raised any concerns.
Favourite feature is Visual Graphs of main Credit Agencies and personal Debt held.
It can be very Motivational, whilst clearly showing progress made and also seriousness of Long Term debts such as Mortgage and Car. (Which can be hidden at your leisure)
Maybe try it for 1 month, though the Graphs take a few before showing the direction your taking with Credit.
