P&O Refunds... any advice

optimist?

I'll keep this simple.
Due to cruise 11th-24th April. P&O cancelled it more or less within a day or two of departure. P&O sent re-book/refund form 16th March - form returned to them same day asking for refund. Received P&O email 4th June confirming refund would be forthcoming. And,.....nothing.
Now phone calls to P&O are met with automated responses which essentially say "go away, we won't talk to you about anything that isn't a new booking". Emails go unanswered (assuming you can find an email address to actually use). They simply refuse to communicate so I can't ask them what is going on - this is especially worrying as some people have reported their request for a simple refund "magically" turned into a re-booking for another time, when this is specifically what they did NOT want. As I have seen some people who were due to cruise in MAY have already been refunded (giving the lie to P&O claim that they are 'prioritising' refunds ) I would at least like to know that hasn't happened to me.
I can't do a bank chargeback on P&O as I booked through Cruise Nation, and filling in the P&O form took them out of the equation, so Cruise Nation say they can't help.
Can someone please tell me how I can at least get to talk to someone at P&O?
Thanks all.

Hmmm, so six hours after posting this I suddenly get a welter of emails from P&O assuring me that it is all a mistake, they are SO very sorry that their cheque didn't arrive etc, and my cheque will be "re-issued". After months of silence. Coincidence?0

The P&O experience continues I'm afraid. Booked to cruise on the Iona 22-29th May 2021. Of course it didn't sail due to the covid restrictions. Had paid deposit of £100. for this trip on previous P&O cruise. First applied for the deposit refund on their site 19/3/21. Have spent hours on the phone to P&O between 21/5 and today,23/6/21, for a refund update but to no avail. Just messages saying ,eventually, to stay on the line for an update followed by another message saying P&O do not wish me to hang on so return the call another day and hung-up. Due to covid they are soooo busy! Appalling service is what it really is,in my opinion. They would take a new cruise booking from me in seconds no doubt. I'm at a loss as to how to get the refund. Can anyone advise please. Thank you.0
