Massive Hit On Credit Score By Hard Searches

So my score was hit by -70 points last month as I had a hard search against my record by BT and Talk Talk, yet this month (after a BT install) it only goes up by 15. Bit annoyed but hey ho.

That's ok.  If you multiply them together, you get a really high number.

At least you will only be annoyed with yourself, as only you can see it.
I would advise you to read the sticky thread at the top of this forum "what your credit score really means".
    Thanks.

    Ummm: -70 * 15 = -1050 so a really low number rather than a high one ;-)

The impact of the hard searches will be minimal, particularly if you don't intend to make any other credit applications over the next few months. As above, ignore the score - the number is meaningless - and focus on your credit history (ie. the actual contents of your credit files).

No - can you not tell by the hey-ho part, it was just an observation.
