Scottish Widows S&S ISA - Problems ..

Apologies, no offence intended - my point was really that @bowlhead99 was posting at 1.30am (UK) & the position was pretty clear that the only solution was to follow the SW process even if I do think it is restrictive.
Hadn't appreciated the nuance that SW had adopted - clearly the primary approach for SW is the investment that is then contained in an S&S isa wrapper rather than an S&S isa wrapper that then allows investments (platform). Frustrating but as stated SW appear to be less than competitive and from my experience of their IT system is poor (being kind).
We are where we are & will push a transfer through - hopefully.
For info - this is not my investment ... I am in process of tidying up financials for elderly parents - they have let things run without review. I would say that SW don't make it easy for such investors.
Thanks for all help all.

They did not adopt it . This was the way things worked in the past for many investments and pensions, and still does for many pensions in particular . eg I have an old Standard Life Pension and there is no cash facility and you can only invest in SL funds .
( their website is better than SW though)
Platforms and cash facilities etc are just a more 'recent' development and generally better for more experienced/knowledgeable investors. However your average punter is clueless about all these issues and is probably better off not having a cash account /platform arrangement.

Hi OP, did you ever manage to find a solution for this problem?
I have tried looking through the list of brand filters on the Argos website:
https://www.argos.co.uk/browse/jewellery-and-watches/watches/mens-watches/c:29307/
But there are no Seiko or Rolex options unless I'm missing something...?0
