New HMRC Scam

I missed a call from a scammer the number is 0203 887 4052‬  seems like a new number because I couldn’t find it from others querying on google.  They left a voicemail saying it’s the officer  from hmrc and you must call back if we don’t hear from you or your solicitor Then get ready to face the legal consequences goodbye and good luck.

Who even speaks like that in normal life!!!

Sorry if I’ve posted this in the wrong section. But wanted to make people aware especially as there are more people claiming benefits at the moment.

    • When on someone else's be it a road, a pavement, a right of way or a property there are rules. Don't assume there are none.

Yes, I love those sorts of calls when the first contact is a threat of legal action!
We all know (or should!) that HMRC would never work that way but the very existence of these sorts of scams is proof that enough of them work to make all those 'wasted' calls where their attempts are laughed off.
That's the real tragedy of these scams.
That's the whole point really isnt it. they only want those gullible enough to fall for this kind of stuff
