Hotel closed for package holiday

Hi,
I booked a package holiday with sunshine.co.uk, I’m due to fly out next month. Just last week I found out the hotel will be closed during my visit, I’ve tried on numerous occasions to contact sunshine.co.uk by phone, email, social media but with no reply or answer.
Has anyone found a solution to contact these companies? I’m reading so many stories about people in a similar situation, it seems entirely unfair they take our money so fast but it’s impossible to contact them.

Difficulty in contacting package operators is pretty common at present. Check the terms and conditions to see if they are entitled to substitute a hotel of similar rating.

The terms do state that a hotel equivalent or higher should be offered as an alternative but I haven’t received anything from sunshine.co.uk
I only found out the hotel was closed from trip advisor, It’s been nothing short of a nightmare so far!0 -
Even if sunshine.co.uk are themselves aware of the hotel closure I doubt that your holiday next month will seem that important to them at the moment. I suspect they are still under pressure and dealing with customers who are due to travel imminently and who have been impacted by recent travel advisories and the the recent U-turn in FCO advisory on travel to Spain. Far from ideal but I expect they will be working through issues in departure date order.0
