New current account for 11 year old

Our 11 year old is about to start secondary school and we ideally want to open him a current account. We're struggling to find a bank that will open a new account because you'd normally have to go into the branch to open it. Has anyone had any luck?
We know we can get him a prepaid card, but would prefer to get him a proper account. Any ideas would be appreciated.

Santander, Natwest, Lloyds, RBS, according to https://www.which.co.uk/money/banking/bank-accounts/best-childrens-bank-accounts-arspc9p7mk0y0

My children have just recently opened Santander accounts which are currently offering one of the much better interest rates. They both did this completely online, and it was an incredibly fast and efficient process, but as I understand it they were only able to do this because they are both 13+. I believe if they are under thirteen the process is not as simple and requires an adult trustee who must hold their own Santander account and requires a branch visit. They also opened Halifax accounts and this was similar. They were able to apply themselves online, then I had to take them to our local branch just to verify their ID. But again, I think they were only able to do this because they are both 13+. It looks like for under thirteens the process is currently nowhere as simple unfortunately.0

I’ve just had a quick look at NatWest’s account, and at a glance it looks like this one may be possible to do for under thirteens online, but will require a trip to branch to verify ID0
