    Has Dave got hold of a copy of the claim form from the court?

    That will tell him when it was issued and should give him more information about the details of the claim - the important thing will be to identify which address the services relate to (it may not be his parent's address).

    Until he has this information then there is no way that he can even start to pull together a draft defence

    Clarification on your reply would be nice as it appears very judgemental and not in the ethos of MSE forum to offer help when asked.
