Hi -
Re your comment
i've tried extensively to locate the above - is there a link please - Coupon-mad said:A new tactic on a thread today - report Excel or VCS to UKAS (read about their accreditation and dob them in to UKAS if you feel they have breached it).

Sticking UKAS in the forum's search facility returns twenty-four posts.
It doesn't take long to read them all.
This is the thread you are looking for.
However, I must say, particularly for @Coupon-mad, I cannot find anything on the UKAS website that might be useful. I can find no mention of Vehicle Control Services Limited nor Excel Parking Services Ltd on the UKAS website.1 -

''ACM is a UKAS accredited certification body''.
Why don't other posters just ask that first poster who she reported them to at UKAS, and what she found/was working with that revealed to her that she could?
Isn't it simply on the PCN/NTK?PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

It will depend on what you are reporting them to UKAS for. Is it iso 90001 or 19001 breaches because different standards will have different requirements. If you know what is breached then this is an avenue. If its just a complaint it most likely isn't. I'd guess a fair few companies will have some sort of accreditation, probbably 9001.Coupon-mad said:https://www.acmcert.com/tsk_certificates/excel-parking-services-limited-incorporating-vehicle-control-services-limited-anpr-international-limited/

But the point is, the first poster said UKAS were very interested...PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

They may be, but if the standards aren't breached then they are powerless. UKAS will have been paid by the PPC to carry out the certification. They are in effect a subcontractor, not an authority in the first instance. However if the management or quality process has not been compiled with then UKAS or what ever validation company(BV, ASG, Alcumus etc etc) WILL be interested. If there is only a complaint based on grievance then nothing can be done.Coupon-mad said:But the point is, the first poster said UKAS were very interested...
This will almost certainly apply for most PPCs and their prospective certifiers, a very quick Google shows OPS mention 9001 in their complaints procedure. This potentially can be useful but only when used in the correct circumstances.0 -
i think we need to ask that first poster to tell us what she said and what UKAS have said.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

PCN - Help
Hello, I'm disabled & struggle to understand & follow instructions, so I'm sorry. I did read the *Newbies* section.
Do I need to start a new thread? Or could someone kindly point me in the right direction?
I'll try to be brief.
I got a ticket from UKPC through the post for being in a car park for 1.13 hours, 13 minutes over the 1 hour time limit. I have a blue badge, if I noticed it was only an hour I would have parked elsewhere as I need longer to get from A - B.
I unfortunately didn't read advice before as I felt like I had solid grounds for appeal. I have a blue badge, and citizens advice said I could appeal as I take longer to get from my vehicle & back.
UKPC ignored my appeal, sent my case to ZZPS. ZZPS are ignoring emails, except one to ask for case number.
I contacted BPA who said they can't help without appeal letter, and told me to go back to UKPC. UKPC responded saying they did send a letter out (they didn't) but gave me PDF version. Appeal was rejected as they had proof I was over 1 hour - they ignored my blue badge and disability completely, which was odd considering I was appealing on that basis.
I went back to BPA for help, as I now had appeal rejection letter, to be told that they could no longer contact me as I had a appeal rejection letter??? Now they're ignoring emails.
**I've now read advice, and scared I've Inadvertently admitted being the driver NOT the keeper**
Today I got a letter from GCTT enforcers.
Question is, am I too late to follow this forums advice? Do I have no basis to ignore them as I didn't carefully word my appeal to say I'm the keeper, not the driver?
I'm getting anxiety attacks over this, I told them to contact me only if it was a court date as I couldn't pay. I also explained that I struggleto understand things. They're not listening.0 -
Yes you need to start a new thread. The thread you are on is three years old and belongs to a different poster with different circumstances to yours.ZeldaMayCry said:PCN - Help

Today I got a letter from GCTT enforcers. They are just an arm of ZZPS. Ignore them. Come back on your own new thread if you receive a formal Letter Of/Before Claim from solicitors representing UKPC (DCB Legal or QDR being the most likely), or a County Court Claim via the Northampton CNBC.Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .
I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.
