Hi
I know that charities and private sector companies such as Scottish power, Cancer research and Oxfam use marketing companies / agencies who have reps stand in the high street to solicit donors.
Where can one find out how to tender for theses contracts - as well as the more private sector ones?
Thanks in advance for all help everyone.

Sorry, which companies have you contacted, the charities / companies on whose behalf you'd like to work, or the marketers?
I'll be honest and say I don't know, but I DO know that many people have a very unfavourable opinion of 'chuggers'. I know it works (or at least it used to), or the major charities who use them would not do so. However once you realise that a large portion of your first year's donations are going NOT to the charity you've just been signed up to support, but to the chugger, it leaves a bit of a bad taste. Because you could have gone home and signed up directly with the charity concerned, and then - apart from possibly a small administration fee if they direct you through a third party service - all your donation would be headed to that charity.
You may find that this model works far less well now that the streets are quieter, and now that we're less ready to approach / be approached by others.
And you may find useful information available from the Institute of Fundraisers.Signature removed for peace of mind0 -
Note most companies will not give out any information about their suppliers and that is probably why you are getting the cold shoulder. You will need to contact the marketing and canvassing companies directly. You could try the recruitment agencies or look out for adverts in papers.0

What products/services do you provider?
It depends on both what you do and who your target is, a small number of companies have details on their website on what prospective suppliers should do for example Tesco have https://www.tescoplc.com/contacts/suppliers/ (you'll see its on their corporate website rather than consumer).
Many others dont and so its a case of trying to make contact with their buying department. A good LinkedIn network always helps with this but for example https://www.linkedin.com/in/adrian-hook-9683b794/ until recently was the Travel & Conference buyer for Oxfam and now covers Operational System Purchases. Intentionally probably the wrong guy for you but once you know what category you are in you can do your own research.
Obviously many companies sign a multi-year deal and so even if you find the right guy today and can promise to cut their costs in half doesnt mean they can act today... could have just signed a new 5 year exclusive deal.0
