Universal credit and self employed national insurance contributions

Hi there need a little advise on whether I can submit class 2 national insurance bill still owing from previous year on my universal credit expenses .There is a expenses column say ni contributions but all the info I can gather does not state if it allows the contributions from previous years or just for the relevant year.

UC works on a cash accounting basis so payments are taken into account when they are made. I believe therefore that you can include this payment.Information I post is for England unless otherwise stated. Some rules may be different in other parts of UK.1

Yep, it's an allowable business expense in the assessment period it's paid out in.
