Easyjet flights to Spain- what to do?

we were due to fly to the canaries on 10 August for 2 weeks with Easyjet. We were renting a villa through Homeaway and the owner asked us to cancel the accommodation on the site, which we did and will now claim through our insurance. We were hoping Easyjet would cancel the flights after the FCO non essential travel advice but with 5 days to go, they haven't as yet. We could do with the refund but does anyone know whether we would be entitled to vouchers at this stage or is our only option to move the flights? We have Nationwide Flex insurance and it's not clear whether, if we cancel our easyjet flights, will we get a refund through insurance? Thank you

If you are insured for the accomodation, and the insurer will pay, then you should also be insured for the flights, they're part of the same holiday.
You aren't entitled to any vouchers or credit notes or refunds from easyJet unless they cancel the flights.

The owner could have cancelled accommodation at no cost to you. Claiming on NW Insurance is a nightmare

We're in a similar situation. We're waiting for the travel company to call us and easy jet flights are still going ahead despite FCO advice.0

Why didn't the VIlla owner cancel the booking?0

Villa Owner was being a bit of a ****. He convinced us to cancel because otherwise Home Owners direct wouldn't allow him to readvertise the villa for 3 weeks. So, not only did he refuse to refund our dosh but he has since rented the villa to Germans. We thought we were helping him out. This is all such a nightmare!0
