Hi. I did a search for this and couldn't find anything.
I'm due to fly out of Manchester airport on August 9th (Wow, where did the time go? That seemed like a futuristic date when I first booked it).
Anyway. I'm looking to hear from anyone that has flown from Manchester airport (or any other) during the past few weeks or so under the Covid restrictions.
What is it like? Is anything still open? Can you take your mask off to eat and drink or do you have to hide in the toilet cubicle and take a bite of your own sandwich.
Did anything take longer? Or was it actually quicker/the same due to less passengers? etc.
Did you book a security slot in advance?
At the moment I'm still in 2 minds about going. But edging closer to the going side. . . .

Fight the WEF.

Can’t answer for Manchester specifically but others have mentioned how quiet things were still in the airports and they had plenty of time to do baggage and security etc with getting there 3 hours before.

Odd place is open but not many and you don’t have to hide in the toilet for the bite of your sand which, you can take your mask off for that bit.
  • I haven't been to any airport but I can imagine it to be fine.   People keep saying it is a risk but so is going shopping.  I am sure there will be similar measures in place at the airport, one way systems, distancing markers, masks and places open to buy food!   Can't seeing anyone giving up the opportunity to sell, sell, sell.    Could be wrong but please let us know.   My brother is flying next week to Italy but too late to advise you.   Have a great time wherever you are going.    From what I have heard, anyone who has decided to 'brave' their holiday abroad has had a fabulous time.  Nobody has mentioned the flights so kind of assume they aren't horrendous.
