I’m a homeowner (as I am buying a house for retirement and have a mortgage) but my current and last two jobs before that have been residential where as part of my job I have to live on site. So am I a homeowner or a renter for completing the credit check forms?

Renter since you don’t have a mortgage0

If you're renting out the property you have the mortgage on then that's a business and you're a landlord in which case you put down you're a renter as you're not living in the mortgaged property.
