TUI reduced facilities

I have booked to go Turkey in October 2020 and received an email today from TUI to say that due to covid19, the waterpark and other facilities will not be open at my hotel. The reason for booking this particular hotel was the waterpark. They have offered to switch me to a different hotel but I would prefer to stay where I have booked now but my question is, as I have not receiving the facilities included in the price, should I be able to ask for a discounted on the price I have paid?  TUI will not agree to a reduction on the price and just suggest that I change hotels or get a refund but how do I know that if I move to another hotel that the same will apply for cancellation of facilities.

The two options offered by TUI are likely the best you will get. You are very unlikely to get anywhere asking for a further discount if you choose to stay in the original hotel albeit minus the water park option.

The hotel sets the room rates not TUI.

Has the new hotel they have offered got a water park? If not then it’s classed as a significant change and will allow you your money back in full. You could then in theory book somewhere else of your choosing?
