On the beach cancellation charges

Hi,
Once the government decided to cancel the quarantine period for returning from Spain, we decided to try to salvage our summer by booking a weeks holiday package to Spain with On The Beach. We paid a £330 deposit and were looking forward to getting away at the end of September. Since then, the government have re-introduced the quarantine period for Spain and advised against all none essential travel. We have decided against going on safety grounds and we are also unable to quarantine for the two week period due to work commitments. With that in mind, unfortunately, we are looking to cancel the holiday. We have accepted that we may have to forfeit our deposit as On the Beach haven't cancelled the holiday, but they are asking for an additional £175 payment for us to cancel. Surely this can't be right?
The issue is that we cannot contact On the Beach until 7 days before we are due to fly out, but the remainder of the holiday is due to be paid for 2 weeks before we fly.
Is there anybody who has had a similar issue or can anyone advise us of our rights please?
Many thanks

It could all change again by September, for the better or the worse.
You'll need to have a look at the Terms and Conditions. On the Beach aren't a tour operator, they sell multi-contract packages. It could be that the flights are non-refundable so that amount must be paid. Or that your initial deposit was a low deposit, but the full deposit must be paid on cancellation (TUI do this, not sure about OTB though)1
