So I am due to travel to Spain next year July 2021, however I need to cancel this due to unforeseen circumstances, I read online in the terms and conditions that if I was to cancel this holiday due to it being over 70 days until I travel I will only loose my deposit which at the time of booking the holiday was a low deposit offer which worked out at £55 bargain! We have since been paying a DD every month since March, I have phoned the company today and they have told me that there is a minimum of a £200 charge PP to cancel this holiday??? Please could anyone give me any advice if this is correct, I have never had to cancel a holiday before and am a little confused to how they can charge this if it isn’t in the small print

Yes. The low deposit was not the full deposit. It's in the t&c's, it more a part deposit/reservation fee I guess. It's usually made pretty clear. Who is it? Someone might be able to comment better if they have used them.1

Thank you that’s the small print I have been trying to read and see where it says this and the only thing I see in of course big font is the deposit before 70 days, so we booked through TUI/FirstChoice0

First Choice Low Deposit info https://www.firstchoice.co.uk/holiday/info/low-deposit
TUI Low Deposit info - https://www.tui.co.uk/destinations/info/low-deposit
both state "if you book using the low deposit scheme and then cancel your holiday, the remaining deposit balance will be due on cancellation."1 -
That’s lovely thank you for your help as stated I didn’t know the full terms and conditions but this has cleared it up thank you0
