Please can anybody advise?
We booked a large villa in Spain via Novisol for our family (10 people). The villa cost £3,000 and it is still available for us to use for 11 nights from 21st August. The problem is that we can't get there now our flights with Jet 2 have been cancelled. And we are unable to quarantine either.
The Credit Card are unable to help us with the chargeback clause because the villa is still available for use.
Our only option is to try and recoup some money. Where can we advertise the property where the Spanish or Germans perhaps could buy the booking from us at a discounted rate so we can at least get some of our money back. I can only really think of eBay. Is there anywhere else?

The owner/letting agent may not allow the booking to be transferred but even if you did manage to do this then as the original booking is in your name, you may well be liable for any damage or losses caused by the people staying there.SimpleWayz said:Where can we advertise the property where the Spanish or Germans perhaps could buy the booking from us at a discounted rate so we can at least get some of our money back.
Have you contacted your travel insurers (assuming that you have cover) as they may well pay out for the villa if the reason for the claim is due to the airline no longer flying.
If not, are there any other airlines still flying the route that you need?0 -
Travel insurance should pay out as the FCO are now advising against travel to Spain. Depending when you booked it of course..

And depending upon when the insurance was taken out...zagfles said:Travel insurance should pay out as the FCO are now advising against travel to Spain. Depending when you booked it of course..0 -
The only option is insurance really, you run the risk of whoever you sell the booking to absolutely trashing the place.1
