Majorca needing insurance

Hi! We’ve been in Majorca for a month (from the UK) and have had insurance to cover this time. We now need to stay for an extra week but cannot extend our existing policy due to the UKs FCO advise. Wondering if anyone knows of any options - (Spanish private health insurance? Travel insurance policies from another country etc.) Any advise much appreciated! Understand there might not be a solution but thought worth an ask.
Thanks in advance,
Rosanna

Your EHIC cards will give you very adequate healthcare under the Spanish NHS, so what are you specifically seeking cover for? Repatriation? No free lunch, and no free laptop

Would this cover costs if we were to somehow get ill with covid? Just purely wanting to make sure we are covered RE health. Thanks for the reply here! R0

It would offer you the same health service that locals get, the main thing missing is repatriation.rosannawebster67 said:Would this cover costs if we were to somehow get ill with covid? Just purely wanting to make sure we are covered RE health. Thanks for the reply here! R
You can do a google search for travel insurance when you are already abroad. Check the coverage, but I would have thought that by going out before the fco ruling on ABE travel you may be able to find cover.I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards. It’s okay we don’t need repatriation - we were just concerned about risk of potential medical costs if either us happened to fall ill during our week extension. Thank you for info RE the EHIC card, that has eased my concerns. Best, R.0

If you do contract it, then they are not going to abandon you to wander the streets and spread it further: you would be admitted to a local COVID ward.
And I don't think, with a positive diagnosis, that any insurance would pay for repatriation anyway. The cost would be enormous and you could be treated quite adequately in Spain. No free lunch, and no free laptop
