Ryanair free flight change farce!

Hi, perhaps I’m being stupid but could someone please explain to me the logic behind Ryanair’s free flight change policy.
passengers that booked a flight AFTER June 10th will be able to change their flight without paying the change fee, these passengers booked knowing about the Coronavirus pandemic and the possibility of holidays being cancelled etc.
Passengers that booked BEFORE June 10th (such as myself who booked last September), who knew nothing about the Coronavirus pandemic and who need to change flights will have to pay the change fee.
I have spent 4 hours in total on hold over the last 3 days and sent emails and messages to Ryanair but cannot get through to get any answers, also within the 7 day flight change window now! Great.

The logic, from Ryanair's point of view, is that in June they needed to encourage people to book to keep cash coming in. So they offered an incentive.0

Many airlines have done this. When you purchased, not knowing about the impending pandemic you accepted the fare rules of the ticket (non-refundable, change fees etc) and would (hopefully) have had insurance in place for unforeseen eventualities (or at least it would have been an option available to you)
Once it was known and insurers stopped giving any coverage for Covid, without any airline waivers, I suspect very few people would have chosen to book non-refundable tickets without the ability to insure unless they had some sort of protection. Airlines then chose to offer some 'protection' to entice people to book / give them money.0 -
The airlines price their product accordingly. As Tesco would say every little bit helps. Flexibility comes at a cost.
No one would intentionally sell their product at a potential loss..........0
