Are NS&I Income Bonds better than the "highest interest" easy access savings accounts?

Hi everyone.
I take it we're talking here about the NS&I bonds which are currently topping Martin's easy access chart. What I want to know is how 'easy' the account is to set up.
I have considerable misapprehensions about committing large amounts to third parties via robotic systems designed basically to allow the organisation to sack more human staff. In the past I've dealt with providers who wanted me to set up so many layers of security (because they patently were unconvinced by the security levels of their own systems) that the whole process became time-consuming and deeply worrying. Ideally I'd ditch internet and use branch/post but that's probably just an old fogey talking
Can anyone vouch for a relatively simple and smooth process with NS&I???0 -
I can vouch for the way in which ALL my dealings with NS&I over very many years has been transacted in every respect.1

On my list of places I would use to research financial products, Trustpilot would rank close to the bottom, somewhere alongside facebook and twitterRainbowsInTheSpray said:Has anyone seen this? https://uk.trustpilot.com/review/nsandi.com
